Christian Morin is the lead strategist for Cloud Services at Genetec. With over 18 years of experience in IT, telecommunications and physical security industries, Chris has a keen ability to anticipate technological trends, drive meaningful organizational growth, and nurture long-standing partnerships with other industry leaders such as Microsoft.
Chris is a multidisciplinary business leader. Since joining Genetec in 2002, he has managed the Operations, Customer Service, Sales Engineering, Technical Support, Professional Services, and IT Teams. Over the course of his tenure, he has acquired and supported some of Genetec’s most prestigious multi-national accounts, launched corporate initiatives and departments to support worldwide expansion, and built an award-winning technical support department from the ground-up, which continues to reinforce Genetec’s reputation for customer service excellence. Today, Chris is an active security and technology educator, regularly participating in panel discussions, guest speaker opportunities, editorial contributions and more.
Previously, Chris led provincial-wide network upgrades at Videotron and provided hands-on support to enterprise customers as a field engineer at Marconi. His roots started in technology. He graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada, with a degree in computer engineering.
